Do I have to wait 3 months to sit after a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Okay I get my surgery on may 2nd but today may 19th I call my doctor assistant and she said I CAN'T sit for 3 months , I have tell her everybody said 2-3 weeks and she said that's only if I need it and with a baby or donuts pillow , OMG ... she said I will ruin my butt if I sit on it :-(

A special donut pillow is not mandatory for our patients after BBL.With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other.  These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks.Postoperatively, no specific position is indicated and we do not have any sitting restrictions.  The pressure caused by sitting is not sufficient to affect viability of the fat cells and so the postsurgical position depends basically on comfort and any other operations that have been performed.

Hi.. thank you for the question and photos... every Board Certified Plastic surgeon have their indications... i Indicate my patients start sitting on the buttock area after 15 days of a BBL.. cantact your PS to see his opinion

Thank you for your question.I usually advise not sitting for 3 weeks. There may be a reason why your surgeon has recommended 3 months of avoiding sitting. You must have discussed this before the operation. It would best to talk directly to your surgeon. All The Best!

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
Each doctor has their own protocol. It is very important that you talk to him about your concerns and goals. I recommend my patients not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
