Is this normal swelling for 2 weeks post tummy tuck? (Photos)

Question

I am swollen above the incision,I didn't realize how much until my partner pointed it out today and took a photo,there is some bruising there but as you can see from the first photo it was already there,should I be worried?

This might well be a mini seroma, a common issue in abdominoplasties; may dissolve spontaneously or require a quick draining puncture at your surgeon's office; seek his advice, do report to him as soon as possible this event.

It is normal to have tissue swelling following a tummy tuck procedure. This can take 3 to 6 months to settle. However, you do need to see your plastic surgeon to out rule collection of fluid (seroma). If present, he will drain this for you and will need to do so at regular intervals unitl it settles.

Swelling is normal after an abdominoplasty procedure, but if you are not assured then schedule an appointment with your plastic surgeon to make sure your healing is normal and there is no seroma. Usually, swelling can persist for up to 6 months.

Thank you for your question.  It is hard to tell from the angles of the photos you provided.  Do you still have your drain(s) in?  Swelling after a tummy tuck (especially at two weeks) is normal, but I always recommend checking directly with your surgeon to verify that everything is healing the way it should.

Thank you for the question. The most important think if to make sure it is not a seroma (fluid pocket) after the drain tube removal. You doctor could be able to tell you with a physical exam. Good luck.

Swelling is very normal at this point from surgery. Do you have a drain and is it working?  It is always best to check with your surgeon if you are concerned best of luck
