Will dettol cream help cure my tootpaste burn on my face?

I listened to the myth that if you put tooth past on your face over night it'll get rid of your acne and pimples ect, but it's left red marks everywhere I put the toothpaste and my face is also very dry and peeling. Will dettol cream help my face heal? Because that's what my mothers making me put on my face. I really need help on how to fix my face asap, it's making me feel really self conscious about myself.
