Accutane and stomach pain after two days of one pill a day.

Question

Started Accutane 2 days ago (40 mg) once a day take at after I eat dinner. Today mid afternoon I have server stomach pain after eating cereal. Used lactose free milk. Could this be related or could it be the stomach virus? Neighbor has same symptoms and doesn't take Accutane.

Hello and thank you for your question. Side effects of isotretinoin include nausea and irritable bowel, which you may be experiencing. I would recommend a consultation by a board certified general practitioner for an evaluation of your stomach pain, and follow up with your board certified dermatologist for evaluation of your progress of your skin. Best of luck.
