Is it okay to take accutane 30mg dosage once a day? Is it different to take 10mg 3times a day or 30mg once a day?

Recent studies have shown that Accutane or any of its generic versions are absorbed and work better when you take it with some fat - such as butter or avocado, or any fat that you normally have in your diet.  It is absorbed better and works more effectively, so I recommend my patients take their daily dose, whether it is 10, 20, 30, 40mg or higher, all at once with a meal.  That way they are less likely to forget the other half of the dose if it is split, and it really doesn't make any difference what time a day that is.   Hope this helps and good luck with your acne treatment.  Accutane is a great choice for difficult acne!

Accutane is often written as a BID medication, but it is fine to take it once daily instead and take the entire dosage at once. In fact, Accutane is best absorbed with the most caloric, fattiest meal of the day. So whichever this is for you consistently is when I recommend you take it.
