Noticed it this morning.. I have chipped a tooth in the past toward the bottom of my mouth but that was 10 years ago and it doesn't bother me enough to get it fixed. But this one seems more visible to me and I was wondering what the recommendation would be to fix? The chip looks like it's more on the front portion of the tooth than just on the bottom edge. I can still see some enamel on the bottom but it is real thin. Thanks ahead of time!

Hello there,It appears that you have a fractured premolar, not a fractured eye-tooth. Your dentist may be able to fill the root of the tooth, but should ultimately place a porcelain crown. I understand that cost may be a factor, but I would suggest financing or using your credit card...
I always try to smooth out a chipped tooth and use illusion to reshape it. I will angle the enamel ever so slightly. The problem with bonding edges is that they don't hold and the bonding can fail quite quickly. You do want your smile balanced so you really need to see the opposite...
