Good day I recently underwent Rhinoplasty and septoplasty on my nose . I do not smoke cigarettes but my brother got me some marijuana as a kinda get well soon gift would it be safe to smoke it via bong or could it create any serious issues.
Answer: Marijuana After Rhinoplasty Although smoking marijuana is not as harmful as nicotine with regards to healing after rhinoplasty, it will cause the nose to swell. The idea behind postoperative recovery is to do the opposite. Therefore, it is not recommended to use marijuana in any capacity for at least 4-6 weeks following surgery.

Answer: Marijuana after rhinoplasty Thank you for the question. You should absolutely consult with your physician about your smoking habits in order to obtain the most reliable and individualized medical advice. Most specialists recommend abstaining from smoking for 2-3 weeks before a rhinoplasty, while others may insist on a full month or two. Smoking will cause irritation and restrict the blood flow to your healing areas, possibly causing complications during the recovery period. In addition, you should also make sure to avoid smoking for at least two weeks after surgery as it may interfere with your healing process. Smoking after surgery may restrict the flow of blood to the healing areas, exacerbate swelling, and prolong recovery. Of course, as a physician, I would advise you to quit smoking altogether due to a variety of health risks associated with it. An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!

Answer: Marijuana Post Operation Good day I would like to thank you for your inquiry. If you get rhinoplasty, refrain from smoking after the procedure (even marijuana) for as long as your cosmetic surgeon instructs you. Again, this is likely to be in the four week timeframe. Failing to follow this rule will heighten your odds of experiencing side effects. For instance, you could encounter slower or improper recovery, skin loss, extensive scarring, constricted blood vessels, airway obstruction, excessive bleeding, greater infection risk and poor surgery results like nose asymmetry. Many plastic surgeons recommend that patients avoid even being exposed to secondhand smoke for the first two weeks post-surgery.In hopes the answer above informed you properly
