Lost a lot of hair in 4 years, decrease in density, thickness and color. No family history of balding. I'm from Africa but moved to Russia at 18, started losing hair at 19, poor diet, and started smoking around that time too. I've been using Minoxidil for 3 years and Finasteride 1 mg for 45 days, and started changing my lifestyle for a better one 6 months ago. But it's only getting worse. Is it androgenic alopecia or something else ?
Answer: Hairtransplant As you described, you lost the hair in a very small period of time, and you had many changes in your life during that time period. It will be very good if you consult with a doctor and get physical consultation

Answer: Thinning hair at age 23 You are doing the right thing by taking steps to slow the hair loss. Given the amount of loss that you have now, it is very difficult to predict how much loss you will have at the age of 30. One indicator may be the hair loss patterns of the men in your family (both maternal and paternal sides).

Answer: Hair loss is progressive but you can help your hair follicles to revive Although the pictures are not great, it is clear that you are losing hair.It is in your best interest to think about using a combination of treatments in order to achieve the full rejuvenation.Minoxidil can only do so much, you will want to add some more to your regime of products and treatments. In our office we like to work with PRP+PRF treatments. This is basically a treatment whereby your own ‘repair’ cells are filtered from a small blood sample and injected in the scalp at very high dosage. The PRP and PRF will start repairing your hair follicles (and also other cells in this area like skin) that are damaged. But after the repair work you will need to use a daily regime to counter the progressive nature of hair loss. Therefore we suggest our patient to use a liquid form of Finasteride to counter the genetic effects of hair loss. We use a liquid form of finasteride that you apply directly to the scalp. This seems to have the positive benefits we want on the hair follicles, but it does not seem to cause any sides since it is hardly or possible not absorbed into the body. We have been using liquid finasteride now for about 1.5 years and not have had any sides reported.Minoxidil is typically mixed along with the Finasteride, so it only takes 1 application for a the patient. My tip is to put the lotion next to your toothbrush so you will see it in the evening when brushing your teeth. Please note that visible improvements to the hair takes a long time. Typically it takes about 8-12 months before you notice an visible improvement of hair quality and quantity.

Answer: Balding? What I can see from the photos is an early balding crown area and possibly some frontal recession but better photos are needed to understand what is happening to you. Lighting is important in good photos
