Best way to treat the jowls? Prefer no surgery but any other options? I didnt really notice them until the last 4 years then my face seemed to age quickly?
Answer: Volumizing Fillers In The Cheeks, Jawline & Chin Can Help To Significantly Treat Jowls Photos are no substitute for an in-person examination that allows for manipulation and palpation of the tissues. However, from what I can see, your problem is the kind I see several times per day practically every day in my practice. You would likely obtain significant improvement in the jowl formation along your jawline with the skillful use of volumizing fillers. The injection of a volumizing filler, such as Voluma XC, which I would choose in my NY office, in the cheekbone regions can lift and contour the cheeks and diminish both the smile lines below and to some extent, secondarily the jowl formation along the jawline. The use of Voluma XC in the region of in front of the ears and particularly along the jawline would likely lead to substantial straightening and definition and finally, if the chin, which seems somewhat recessed in the photos, were augmented with a volumizing filler, this would additionally not only sharpen the jawline, but improve the profile view, as well. The results typically yield an immediate "Wow!" reaction. In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved volumizing fillers are available, I would choose Stylage XXL and Aliaxin EV for the cheeks, Restylane Volyme for the jawline, and Neauvia Intense Flux for the chin. You would be wise to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician and make sure to ask to see his/her personal before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck ,

Answer: The Best Way to Soften or Get Rid of Jowls Without Surgery The appearance of jowls can be improved without surgery using a versatile facial contouring filler called Radiesse. This is the approach we offer at the Dr.U Hair and Skin Clinics in Los Angeles for patients like yourself who don’t wish to undergo surgery. Radiesse is made of tiny microspheres of a calcium compound within a gel matrix. It is able to mimic surrounding tissue environments and maintain a hold based on how it is molded and shaped. We apply the filler into the jowls to lift the tissue and prevent it from sagging. Below is a link to a patient case from our office where this was done.

Answer: A short Scar facelift For most patients, facial cosmetic surgeries can be done in the office under local anesthesia - mini facelift, mid face lift, neck lift, blepharoplasties etc. For example, bilateral upper & lower blepharoplasty, mid face lift, Short Scar facelift and neck lift usually takes me about 90 minutes in the office under local anesthesia. The goal is to have patients looking natural.I routinely tell people to take a few days to a week off work and to hide out but some people are very nervous especially celebrities and I usually tell them to hide out for two weeks. As with any scar on the human body, initially scars are red, hard and raised and it typically takes six months to a year for them to become a soft thin white line. I strongly feel that it's very important to have an honest conversation with your surgeon about your particular situation, lifestyle, work environment and specifically which procedures you're having done so that you both have the most honest answer about your recovery and are realistic with expectations and results.

Answer: Facelift, Under Local Anaesthetic with reduce Downtime Thank you for your question. The only way to remove loose skin around the jawline would be through a facelift. This doesn't need to be really invasive and can be performed a under local anaesthetic. The facelift I perform is under a local anaesthetic which means a significantly reduced downtime. The Concept Facelift and Necklift is the procedure I perform, which combines the latest surgical techniques with the use of local anaesthetic to dramatically reduce the risks associated with traditional facelifts, while significantly reducing the bruising and downtime of your recovery, from months to a matter of days. If you have lax facial skin, lost volume and feel that you have jowls and wrinkles on your cheeks and you look tired when you're not then the concept facelift can help improve your appearance.
