If you gain weight after liposuction, the areas that were treated will get lumpy, but not much larger. However, the areas the areas that weren't treated will enlarge normally like they always do when you gain weight.

Smart Lipo or any kind of lipo is considered body contouring treatment and not a weight loss treatment. It is true that fat removed never come back but because you still have some fat cells in the area if you gain a lot of weight, you can get fat in the area. Anyway, when you gain wight after liposuction you probably will gain more fat in areas you did not do liposuction. Imagine that 2 liters of fat weighs about jus 4.4 pounds. Thats why Fat removal is for body contouring not for weight loss.

After liposuction you can regain weight. The fat cells removed during liposuction are permanently gone - However, other fat cells in the body may be able to take on more fat if you continue to gain weight. This can result in disproportionate weight gain throughout the body. F

In rare cases or with extreme liposuction, you gain weight internally around your organs or within the liver itself. This kind of weight gain can be very dangerous to your overall health and negatively affect more than just your appearance.
