Without pictures, we cannot make an assessment for cosmetic surgery. The saying “a picture is worth 1000 words”. Is as true in this context as it ever could be. What type of Liposuction is not important. The only two variables that matter are you are candidacy for the procedure and the skill and experience of the provider. Equipment makes very little difference in relationship to your candidacy and who does the procedure. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons up to remastered this procedure, or in a small minority. A substantial number of board-certified plastic surgeons are not good at Liposuction. Most plastic surgeons think they’re better at Liposuction, and they actually are. Liposuction is a permanent irreversible operation that can leave people disfigured. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of provider selection to properly vetting plastic surgeons when considering this procedure. Defined the right provider. I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations with local, board-certified plastic surgeons who seem to do a lot of liposuction. Not to pick providers based on what equipment they use, but rather what their portfolio looks like, especially the quality and quantity of before and after pictures. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patient will have similar body characteristics to your own. And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing in the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. As efficiently calendar provider shit in fact, have thousands of before and after pictures to choose from. There’s no correct number of plastic surgeons to interview to find the right provider. Considering how much variation there is a Liposuction talent. I suggest starting the process by having at least five in person, consultations and considering scheduling more unless you feel very confident you found the right providers for your needs. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons it before your schedule surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
