I'm 5'6" and ifI don't workout, I'm 120 to 125 pounds. If I do workout, I'm 130 to 140 pounds. I easily gain muscle mass in my thighs. I love the great butt. I hate the bulky thighs. I am also a long-distance runner. I'm in top shape. I wear a size 2 regardless of if I'm 120 or 140, it just fits differently. I like my thighs when I'm 120, dislike when I'm 140. Should I consider SmartLipo to get the best of both worlds?
Answer: Thigh Lipo Hi, I'm assuming you're referring to your outer thighs (pics would help to better assess your situation). Patients who are relatively fit with small target areas are best candidates for this type of liposuction IMO. When you go into a caloric excess (ie 140lbs vs 120lbs) fat cells swell perhaps giving you bit of a saddle bag appearance. These problem areas could be PERMANENTLY destroyed with liposuction however care should be taken to not take too much as this could give you more a masculine appearance. Subtle natural curves are what should be striven for. Several studies conclude that the most attractive female waist to hip ratio measured by dividing the circumference of the waste by that of the hip is 0.7.•Interestingly the measurements of Miss America pageant winners for many years have consistently approximated this optimum ratio!!•Since estrogen has the effect of depositing fat in the hip area and preventing deposition in the belly, a more curvaceous body is a cue to reproductive health and is generally considered more attractive to males.

Answer: Liposuction assessmen Without pictures, we cannot make an assessment for cosmetic surgery. The saying “a picture is worth 1000 words”. Is as true in this context as it ever could be. What type of Liposuction is not important. The only two variables that matter are you are candidacy for the procedure and the skill and experience of the provider. Equipment makes very little difference in relationship to your candidacy and who does the procedure. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons up to remastered this procedure, or in a small minority. A substantial number of board-certified plastic surgeons are not good at Liposuction. Most plastic surgeons think they’re better at Liposuction, and they actually are. Liposuction is a permanent irreversible operation that can leave people disfigured. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of provider selection to properly vetting plastic surgeons when considering this procedure. Defined the right provider. I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations with local, board-certified plastic surgeons who seem to do a lot of liposuction. Not to pick providers based on what equipment they use, but rather what their portfolio looks like, especially the quality and quantity of before and after pictures. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patient will have similar body characteristics to your own. And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing in the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. As efficiently calendar provider shit in fact, have thousands of before and after pictures to choose from. There’s no correct number of plastic surgeons to interview to find the right provider. Considering how much variation there is a Liposuction talent. I suggest starting the process by having at least five in person, consultations and considering scheduling more unless you feel very confident you found the right providers for your needs. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons it before your schedule surgery. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD

Answer: Larger thighs with exercise Hi Anon453054, Liposuction is a procedure that is meant to remove fat from the compartment underneath the skin. You say that your thighs get larger when you workout. That suggests that it is from muscle mass. As you said you easily gain muscle. Liposuction would not address that. At 5 foot 6 and 125 pounds your BMI is 20.6. That alone suggests that you do not have very much fat for liposuction. Therefore I would not suggest liposuction for your thighs that really only bother you once you gain muscle mass. Of course this opinion is without having examined you in person for which there is no substitute. I recommend seeing a surgeon for full evaluation.
