Hi there, Can someone please advise whether I may be of benefit of having my left IMF raised? What are the risks involved in doing so in a potential future procedure? I do not believe there is a discrepancy between the levels of which my IMFs both sit, is there any other reason to raise an IMF other than to improve symmetry between breasts? Thanks in advance :)
Answer: Breasts Just based on your photos, you do have one shoulder that sits higher than the other. An elevated shoulder will raise the inferior fold. To determine if the fold should be elevated, you would need to be measured. Just looking at your photos, I would say the problem lies more with your back and shoulders than with your breasts.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear beaniebaby65, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Benefit of raising IMF? You would raise it to improve symmetry. I am not sure why in your case one would just raise the left side, if anything your right side may be lower - unless we have our lefts and rights mixed up. Your left breast appears slightly higher than your right breast. Only with a detailed and meticulous examination can one tell whether the IMFs positions are the same or whether an adjustment is needed.

Answer: Raising the IMF Good evening! In your particular case I see no reason to raise your IMF- you don't have bottoming out and your nipple position is already fairly low on your breasts.

Answer: Benefit of raising breast IMF? Thank you for your question. You result looks very good and your inframammary crease(IMF) symmetrical. I cannot imagine any reason to elevate her IMF further. In my experience reason the IMF only becomes necessary when and implant has bottomed out and yours have not.
