I Skipped Accutane, What To Do?

Question

Im on accutane 20/40 mg daily but im taking a 20 mg dose from 3 days and today i skipped my 40 mg dose so ive skipped around 3 capsules from 3 days what am i supposed to do ?! I cant contact my doctor except on mondays please help !!

No worries, just continue taking Accutane from where you left off.  The important thing is the total dose taken during the course of Accutane

Not to worry. The important thing about Accutane is the overall dose over the 5 or so months you take it. Just start back to your normal dosing. It is not necessary to split the daily dose into a morning and evening dose. I would ask your MD if you can take the 60 mg (20/40) together in one dose so you don't keep forgetting. It is much easier to remember a medicine once a day.

It's ok. Just start taking the medicine again as you normally were. You don't need to "catch up" or anything like that. It's more important that your body get the right amount over the several month's course of the drug, and this is determined by your physician and by the severity of your acne and your weight. Just continue on.
