Can I Skip my Last Accutane Dr. Appointment ?

I have been on accutane for 5 months with good results immediately. My lab work has always been fine. I am ready to stop and it's very hard for me to get to my appointments (7 hour round trip drive). Could I just send them lab results and not see the doctor for the last time?

The recommended dosage is somewhere between 8000-16000 total mg of Accutane. At this point, you have taken 4200 total mg which is probably enough to clear your acne in the short-term but not solve your long-term issues. I would suggest you speak to your physician about it, but in my opinion,...

Hyperpigmentation and overall darkening of the skin would not be due to Accutane. Accutane will make you more sun sensitive, so if you're not protecting your skin well on a daily basis, it can make you get sunburned, which could lead to hyperpigmentation and skin darkening for the short-term...
