hello thank you for your question and provided information as well..based on the photo shown, my recommendation consults in person with a plastic surgeon in person to evaluate you and depending on your measurements and height see what size you apply to get your expected result.
Youhave not told us your bra size but if you are a 32 or 34 each 100 cc of implantcorresponds to 1 cup size change. If youare a 36 or 38 each 200 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. From this, you can compute the implantrequired to achieve your desired goal. However, 800 cc implants are large, weigh almost 2 lbs each and willdescend making you look heavy and matronly. I recommend you consider a smaller size implant.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. 800cc is a very large implant. The size, profile, and shape of theimplant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wallmeasurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision shouldbe based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both youand your surgeon. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Dear BbyBee,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
thanks for reaching out. As mentioned before, implant sizing can not be determined by height and weight alone, measurements and an exam need to be done. 800 cc's is extremely high. I would start by going on a few in person consultations with experienced board certified surgeons to determine what sizing will get you an end result you will love and also that is proportioned to your body. Best of luck! Dr. Kim
Thank you for your photo. The ideal Implant size cannot be determined by height and weight alone. It is best to have an in-office evaluation so that careful measurements can be taken to determine the best size implant for your chest diameter, several upper body measurements, and current breast tissue. Once you have the measurements, they are all put together to determine the right implant from the right manufacturer. Breast implants of the same cc's can look and feel extremely different depending on the profile and material. In my office, I have the MENTOR breast implant sizing system where different size molds are used to simulate how you appear in your own clothes and help finalize your decision. That being said, 800cc implants are the largest implants that they typically make and may not fit with your body dimensions without looking unnatural or feeling uncomfortable. You can make a more informed decision after using a sizing system to demonstrate what it will be like. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonIG: @drjohnsonlee
Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. For example, I do not think that the generalizations of "200 cc equates to 1 cup" hold any validity or are helpful in any specific or practical way. In my practice, I ask patients not to communicate their goals, or evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed, based on cup size references. Generally speaking, every patient undergoing breast augmentation surgery should understand that their anatomic starting point will limit the outcome of breast augmentation surgery. Other factors involved include careful breast implant pocket dissection and careful selection of breast implant size/profile. For example, 800 cc breast implants may be the correct choice for some women; for other women (depending mainly on the patients anatomic dimensions and personal goals) 800 cc may be too large. The use of a larger breast implant (than what is safely "allowed" by the patient's anatomy) can be problematic; potential problems include breast implant displacement/malpostion issues ( such as bottoming out, lateral displacement, symmastia...) and/or significant breast implant rippling/palpability.Ultimately, careful selection of plastic surgeon and careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “big natural look” or "full DD or DDD cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers. I hope this helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
Thank you for the question and size is best determined by measurements and putting implants in a bra till you see the volume on your chest that you like. The your surgeon can pick the best shaped implant for you at that volume. So go on some complimentary consultations with experts and compare recommendations and become informed about the desired procedure Dr Corbin
800cc breast implants are probably too large for your frame. Consult with your local plastic surgeons to figure out a size that would reduce the risks of possible complications from using oversized implants. Best wishes.
Dear Graselita1960,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your doctor for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, M...
