I did a non-incisional double eyelid surgery 7 years ago but the double eyelids have now disappeared. I am now wondering whether I have ptosis as I am in early 40s now. If yes, is it mild or moderate as I am considering a surgery to improve the look. I am also looking at lasik as I have quite high degree of above 800 . Should I go for the ptosis surgery first or lasik first?

Thank you for your query. I would not advise any eyelid surgery along with LASIK. A good idea would be to get your ptosis surgery first and then wait till your eye closes completely at rest, as there may be a slight over correction of ptosis initially, which resolves in several weeks. Please...
The final surgical procedure provided you have all the pertinent information - is completely up to you. Improvement of the left eye alone - is prob preferable since you do not have issues with the right eye
If anything you only have mild ptosis, I don't think it would be considered medical. Your eyelid margin needs to be less than 2mm from the midpoint of your pupil to be considered medical.Having said that, you would probably benefit from ptosis correction if you were to have an upper blepharoplasty.
