Lumpy upper abdomen after liposuction 7 months post op. What is the best approach?

I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately.
The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result.

Personally I view the torso as a single anatomic unit and generally prefer to treat the entire torso when doing Liposuction. by treating the entire torso as a single anatomic unit patients are left with an even within the fat distribution without transition zones between treated and untreated areas. A 30 cm cannula should be able to reach your upper abdomen without having to make a new incision and instead you use one in your belly button.
Your surgeon left quite a bit of area and treated. Is your doctor a board-certified plastic surgeon?
This does not look like a difficult challenge. My biggest question is why your surgeon didn’t treat your entire upper and lower abdomen and left the transition zone in the middle of your upper abdomen?
You can either work with your current provider or you can find a new plastic surgeon to work with. That will probably be more expensive.
I do all liposuction work with patients a week using local anesthesia with some sedation.
There’s a learning curve for doing liposuction on awake patients.
It’s fairly common to do revision work in the office using local anesthesia.
How well surgeons do this and how good they are keeping people comfortable through awake procedures varies from provider to provider.
