Hello, my name is Miles, I am a board certified prosthodontist. I specialize in restorative treatments involving implants, crowns and veneers. As a specialized practitioner with an additional 3 years of eduction and training beyond dental school, I have had the opportunity to treat many cases such as yours. Based on the photographs you have provided, you present with a mild case of fluorosis. In my practice, a case such as your would be easily treated with a micro-invasive procedures and technology, such as Icon, by DMG (enter Icon DMG into Google to bring up additional information). I have treated cases much more severe than yours without having to commit the patient to expensive restorative procedures that will have to be redone in the future. You would not require any anesthesia (the procedure is rapid and painless), the procedure would only require one visit, and the total cost would estimate somewhere around several hundred dollars, versus tens of thousands of dollars for a treatment involving veneers.Your teeth look great and would only require about 90 mins of chair time to look absolutely stunning!u can see for yourself :-)A hug from Maine!-m
Fluorosis affects only the appearance of teeth. It does not result in cavities but consists of masking the stain. Below mention are the treatments available to treat dental fluorosis. 1) Porcelain Laminate Veneers.2) Enamel Microabrasion.3) Composite Veneers.4) Dental Crown.Hope this will help.
As others have mentioned, the only real solution in this case is for Porcelain veneers to be placed on the teeth. A minimal preparation technique should be very successful. Good Luck
Hi:Sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately in my experience the only long term solution that I have seen to work is porcelain veneers. Whitening has a very limited short term effect.Best,Dr. Maddahi
I would recommend thin , no-prep or minimal-prep veneers which would cover the fluorosis without aggressively preparing away your enamel.
