Hi Brendan, I recommend getting an in-person formal evaluation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist. Generally speaking, moles can be removed either with a laser (such as the Q-Switch tattoo laser), radiowave or shave. If there is any scarring or pigmentation following the removal, your dermatologist can treat those conditions as well. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi,In my opinion, the best treatment to remove the mole (nevus) on your upper lip would be to excise it under local anesthesia. This would be a 10 minute office procedure and leave a scar that usually would be almost imperceptible in the end if performed by an experienced plastic surgeon. CO2 lasering will cause the red color in your lip around the area to appear permanantly lighter in color which would be much more noticeable in the long run.
