Legs look terrible from sclerotherapy!!! Any suggestions? (photos)

Question

I got sclerotherapy two weeks apart and doesn't seem to be healing properly. When should I expect results or will my legs remain this way. Can some please help. I'm freaking out.

The guiding pneumonic for expectations after sclerotherapy that should be given to patients is "it looks worse before it gets better". It is also important to note that it is KEY to wear compression stockings immediately and regularly for as little as 2 weeks (in Florida and California) to 3 months (in colder parts of the country).read the link below for sclerotherapy. Dr Karamanoukian

Thanks for your question and photos. After sclerotherapy, it is common for things to look worse before they get better. Sclerotherapy is a process - after the vein is affected by the sclerosant, the essentially clot off and collapse. This leads to bruising and even some changes in contour. After this, the veins gradually become less visible as blood is no longer engorging them - which is why they were visible in the first place. This process can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months. Be patient (as best you can!), and continue your compression garments per your physician's instructions.

Your pictures look like normal findings several weeks  post sclerotherapy.  Sclerotherapy is a process and the veins usually look worse post treatment before they look better. Sometimes clotted veins may need to be evacuated and this will help them to heal sooner.  I schedule sclerotherapy treatments 6 weeks apart and stress that this is a process.
