Is it normal to completely lose smell in 1 nostril due to scar tissue covering a large part of the inside, as well as 0 feeling?

Also feels like this side is now much smaller than the other side due to this scar tissue? I thought that septoplasty only involves working in the upper part of the nose? Dr says to give it time (it’s been 2 and a half months) already but I can’t see it getting better- scarring too thick!?

I agree with your doctor. Your nose is still healing and most patients complain about the same things you mentioned. In order for it to heal faster, I suggest you to moisturize and clean it regularly. Sesame oil is great as a moisturizer. Do not forget to cleanse it with water. If there are blood clots inside, you will have a really hard time smelling/breathing.
