Septo-rhinoplasty columellar scar, can it be improved with laser? (photo)

Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. I have had only one patient over the years that was a good candidate for this incision in this spot. You could try laser to bring down the edges on either side of the scar but no laser will bring the indented area forward and I can't see any advantage of fractional over non-fractional CO2 in this setting. If the scar is indented, you may be a candidate for a revision, but it would have to be seen in person. Lasers possibly could help if the scar was raised not depressed.
