I just got Botox not long ago. I have mild anaemia so I usually take iron pills (folic acid pills). Is it okay to to consume iron and vitamin c pills before or after getting Botox? I also got fat reducing injections on my cheek area. Thanks!
Answer: Botox OK With Iron Pills? Botox Is OK With Iron and Vitamin C Botox injections are a local treatment that goes straight into the dynamic muscles that cause wrinkles on your forehead and at the corners of your eyes. Thus, don’t worry, Botox will not be affected by oral vitamins or iron. It is important not to take things that will thin your blood prior to your Botox treatment, such as fish oil or ibuprofen, as you can be more prone to bruising after your Botox injection. Whenever you get Botox or any other cosmetic or medical procedure, be sure to inform your board-certified dermatologist about the other therapies you’ve had and any supplements or medications you might be taking.

Answer: Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. Thank you for your question. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. When injected into the skin Botox will relax the muscles and smoothen out the overlying wrinkles. The most common areas of treatment are in the upper face. These include the horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows, the vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns (frown lines), and the crow's feet seen around the eyes when one smiles. It is difficult to make an assessment without a formal exam where the entire medical history is reviewed. However, I hope the information provided here is useful.
