Are there safer alternatives to Sculptra for subtle volume in face?

I had 3 syringes of Juviderm XC in my mid face years ago, got overfilled, but loved the residual lift it gave to my cheeks for years to come. My face has lost a lot of volume recently. I was told at two places that I’d be a better candidate for Sculptra to not mess with my good bone structure than Voluma which’d make me too triangular looking. I’m very nervous about Sculptra since only 3/4 patients seem to like it and nodule formation is common. Is there a safer alternative for a subtle volume?

There are a variety of fillers that could be used to add volume to the face.  The results could be subtle or more dramatic, depending on how much is used.  I think Sculptra is a good option, with the main advantage being that the results last relatively long.  I think you could also get a good result with Voluma.  The placement and amount used would be able to give you a subtle result without making your face triangular.

You could be a good candidate for Renuva, which is a very effective filler promoting natural fat growth where it has been injected.

There’s absolutely nothing better in terms of restoration of the facial volume loss, than using fat grafting. When a plastic surgeon has a great deal of experience in fat grafting techniques, the results should be absolutely natural, beautiful and practically permanent. Also, procedure of fat grafting should have very little downtime if any at all. I hope the Celtics and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
