Sculptra to lift lower face? (Photo)

Question

Hi, I have mounth corners that are turning down, begining of jowls due to lost volume and prominent nasolabial folds. I did 1 treatment of Morpheus 8 and can not see any result or lift, 2 more to go. Doctor suggested sculptra in lower face. Will sculptra be able to lift my lower face or are there any other treatments that are more effective? Another doctor suggested surgery right away bur would like to fix it without surgery and wait some years. I am 41. What are my best options for treatment?

I'm sorry that you have been disappointed with your energy-based treatment, but I am hardly surprised. I have been cautioning my regular follower for years already that these expernsive, heavily hyped and marketed energy-based gizmos are backed far more by marketing hype and social media buzz than hard science. Sorry. On the other hand, a variety of HA fillers purposed for use in different facial regions  are available that can contour the cheeks to create a more feminine, heart-shaped face; treat smile lines and marionette lines; and can define and straighten jowly jawlines. And, in experienced hands, all of the foregoing can be performed in about 45 minutes, with immediate results, and little to no significant downtime.  I gave up using Sculptra over eight years ago, since it is expensive, and requires on average three treatment sessions to see results and its one big benefit, the two year duration of results, is nowadays fairly closely matched by robust HA fillers that can last up to 1.5 years after only one treatment session. You would be wise to make sure to consult with an experienced, board certifiied cosmetic dermatologist filler expert. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Thank you for your photos. If you lost volume, Sculptra will be able to restore that in the most natural way and not affect any facial mimicry. 4 vials would be my initial starting point for you with 2 vials done in one session and the remaining 1 month later. I don’t think that Morpheus will help in tightening of the facial structures. In fact, if the needles are chosen improperly, they can burn more of the necessary fat, and you will lose volume and probably look even older, some six months down the line. The reason the face kind of droops as the person ages is because the person loses volume in terms of fat and muscle bulk. The single best way to restore a more youthful appearance is by restoring volume of the face with the use of the patient’s fat. The fat needs to come from the areas where it is stubborn, and then injected with a micro-cannula into the face restoring the volume to the way, the person used to look some 20 years prior.  When properly done, the results are natural and practically permanent. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.

Based on the 2 posted photos with your desire for non surgical options I recommend the Filler Face Lift or a type of Y-Lifting. Using HA fillers, around 10-12 syringes ($12,000). This will temporarily delay you need for a mini face/neck lift, which you are a candidate now! ($8,000-$15,000). Best to virtual consult with.....
