I'm 26F. I gained some weight over the past few years (currently 160lbs) but have always had large cheeks. I'm looking for suggestions on how to improve my side profile and genetically saggy cheeks. Chin implant, cheek lift, jaw surgery, cheek liposuction?
Answer: Genioplasty You have some options. If you are trying to stay minimal, buccal fat removal with jawline lipo would improve some of the cheek fullness and jowling. I think you would greatly benefit from a genioplasty. Your chin is short, and by bringing it forward and down, we would create more balance in your profile, while elongating your jawline and reducing the jowling. We may consider buccal fat or jawline lipo with that, but that is something we would have see after the genioplasty. Our office provides simulated morph photos of reasonable outcomes and offers virtual or in-person consultations if you would like to discuss things further!

Answer: Chin implant and liposuction With only profile photos to go by, I would recommend a chin implant or genioplasty and jawline liposuction. This will give you a balanced lower face and make your face look thin from the front. It will also improve your profile appearance.

Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Consider Robust HA Volumizing & Lifting Fillers For Chin Augmentation, Jawline Definition, Lower Cheek Jowls Whoa!!! Before contemplating expensive, invasive surgeries, implants, liposuction, and significant postoperative downtime, ete. you might be surprised to learn that all of the issues you cited in your question can be addressed NONSURGICALLY & NON-INVASIVELY-- in the hands of an experienced injector-- with appropriately selected and properly injected HA fillers. For example, a robust volumizing filler injected along the jawline can straighten and define the jawline and treat the jowls. A lifting HA filler can provide the necessary chin projection to improve the profile, and harmonize the projections of the chin, lips and nose. A lifting HA filler can be used to address the jowls in the marionette regions to the angles of the mouth and sides of chin, and the combination of a robust HA lifting filler and a low viscosity, malleable, cohesive HA filler can significantly improve the neck (a Nonsurgical Filler Necklift). My last patient of the day yesterday, in fact, had all of the aforementioned performed in one treatment session (along with a low concentration TCA peel to refresh her skin overall) all in the space of slightly less than 45 minutes, with immediate, on-the-spot results. So, before jumping into all the invasive procedures you cited in your question, you might wish to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler injector regarding the above approaches. Hope this helps and saves you a whole lot of time, money, and post-op and post-treatments pain and recovery time. Best of luck.

Answer: How to improve Side profile? The profile photograph demonstrate early jowls, fat deposits above and below the platysma muscle in the neck, and a recessive Chin. Consider a neck lift procedure in combination with a chin implant. The neck lift involves removal of fat above the model with liposuction, and surgical extraction of the fat below the muscle which also includes a platysma-plasty to significantly improve the jawline. No skin removal is necessary. Placement of a chin implant can augment your chin forward which also offers additional structural support for the soft tissues in the neck, and gives you better facial balance and proportions. Before undergoing the necklift, you should be your ideal body weight for best results.
