When the upper eyelids cover the iris (NOT the pupils) of the eye by 3 mm without any vision problem, would you recommend ptosis surgery? My board-certified surgeon offered ptosis surgery but said it is up to me since it is a cosmetic procedure and that I should do my own research. Also, if I leave my eyes alone, what is the chance for (3mm iris-covered eye) to droop more in about, let say, 4 to 9 years?
