while I realize this likely depends on the type of mastectomy and reconstruction you have done (expanders vs direct to implant vs flaps like DIEP) I've heard different things from different doctors in regards to how soon you can fly home after surgery. some have said 10 days later while others say you must stay a full month. Very confusing and hard to know which is correct or truly necessary. What is really the safest time frame? When is too soon? Is there really a difference between waiting two weeks versus waiting a month to fly home on a 4.5 hour or less flight?Thanks-

Call your surgeon and notify him or her of these changes. Your surgeon will want to know of any changes in your incisions especially with expanders in place. Best wishes.
Most commonly the nerve related sensation loss is temporary and the sensation will return overtime. This takes months at times and rarely it will be a permanent loss of sensation. I hope this helps and good luck.
Although implant reconstruction is a popular option, its sometimes not the best option. This is particularly true in your case. The tissue expanders look uncomfortable and displaced. The better option for your breasts would be to reconstruct your breasts using your own fatty tissue....
