I’m getting married and my derm suggested doing fractional Co2 to get rid of some wrinkles I have and some acne scars, but I’m terrified. I’m afraid with my delicate skin it could make me look more wrinkled and older or worse. I did halo about 2 months ago and tolerated that just fine, but I’m terrified of looking worse for my upcoming wedding.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Fractional CO2 laser treatment before wedding Thanks for your question and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Depending on how much time you have before the big day, fractional laser could be an excellent way to rejuvenate your complexion so you are looking your best for your nuptials. This treatment creates micro-channels in the skin to stimulate the body’s own renewal processes. The procedure leaves surrounding skin and tissue untouched, which minimizes side effects and recovery time. That said, you want to make sure you have ample time for your skin to heal and to realize the full effects of your treatment. Make sure you are working with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist who can advise you accordingly.

Active FX Co2 laser is a marvelous tool in facial resurfacing. 6 to 7 days is the average recovery time from this laser technique.Your pictures are great and this laser technique would benefit you. Answer: CO2 Thanks for your question and photos, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I think you look like an appropriate candidate for CO2 and it will give you the most efficacy for your investment. CO2 laser, done properly, helps thicken and improve the skin by ablating tiny columns of skin and dermis, allowing your new collagen to regrow in the ablated areas and plump up and smooth the surface. I would seek a second opinion in person from another board certified dermatologist if it makes you feel better, but I bet you will do great with a resurfacing. Another option to discuss would be a series of microneedling, which is less aggressive than CO2 but can yield great results. Best of luck!
