Is there any truth to the claim that raspberry ketones can help prevent or reverse hair loss?

In my opinion, the data on usage of raspberry ketones is limited. The original studies were done in 2008 and were based upon a raspberry ketone cream used on mice with alopecia. This was not androgenic type alopecia, rather it was similar to alopecia areata. Human studies are still lacking. Please note that there is a difference between raspberry ketone supplements taken by mouth and the cream that was used. Extrapolating the data  to proove that raspberry ketone cream works in humans is a reach. There exists far superior proven treatments for hair loss.

This is a known antioxidant that many people take for the cardiovascular health. I don't know of any benefit for hair directly
