I wanted to make a scalp biopsy to identify which kind of a hair loss i have but im wondering does a scalp biopsy damages or destroys the hair follicles where biopsy was taken?

This is a complex condition that has many causes. You need to be evaluated for the various causes first by a doctor who specializes in this condition. IF there is a cause, then the cause should be addressed and a blind treatment with a steroid may not be in your best interest.
Eyebrows will usully grow after partial thickness abrasions. The chances are unpredictable. Topical agents may hasten regrowth.Please use this information when consulting in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon prior to making treatment decisions.
