CoolSculpting® uses targeted cryolipolysis technology to destroy fat cells in specific areas. While this technology is not inherently harmful to tattoos, if CoolSculpting is done over a tattooed area, it could distort the tattoo. The degree of distortion would depend on where the tattoo is and how much fat is ultimately reduced from the area. Otherwise, there's no cause for concern. CoolSculpting is safe for tattooed skin.
Hello and thank you for your question. CoolSculpting targets stubborn fat cells underneath the skin without damaging the dermal surface or the underlying tissue. This means you can safely undergo treatment without worry that the device will have a negative effect on your tattoo. However, you will be changing the contour in the treatment area, which could affect the appearance of the tattoo. For example, if the area becomes smaller through fat reduction, the tattoo could also be distorted or reduced.
CoolSculpting will not change the ink if it is well healed and done by a professional. However size of tattoo may change depending on how much reduction in size is obtained.
Having a CoolSculpting treatment performed over an area with a healed tattoo would not affect the tattoo.
CoolSculpting will have no effect on your tattoos. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting treatment will not affect the healed tattoo in the treated area but can definately disfigure the tattoo due the changes of the underlying fat. Best of luck from Los Angeles.
It is completely safe to CoolSculpt over a tattoo. CoolSculpting does not effect the skin and will have no impact on your tattoo. Our office has had the device for over a decade, and we have treated over many tattoos with no problems.
CoolSculpting is not a laser and will not affect tattoos. The suction mechanism also has no effect on tattoos.Good luck.
Coolsculpting should not effect tattoo ink. The target for coolsculpting is fat cells. The newer hand pieces that are used in coolsculpting use very little suction. Some lasers however that treat pigment or laser hair removal devices can target tattoo ink so the operator must be careful when treating near areas that have tattoos.
I am glad you asked this question. CoolSculpting is the only machine using cryolipolysis to freeze fat that is approved by the FDA. It has an extensive track record of both safety and success in the U.S. and across the globe. With those credentials, I only offer CoolSculpting to my patients and...
You are fortunate that you achieved your desired results after a single treatment session on your love handles and outer thighs. However, after three treatments on your inner thighs, it is unlikely you will see any additional improvements. It might be time to explore alternative treatments for...
Thanks for your question and I’m sorry you didn’t get the results you hoped from your lipo treatment. While it is difficult to tell from photos alone, it does not appear that CoolSculpting will provide you with the results you want. I would recommend a combination treatment with a rad...
