I suspect you are describing a common healing response called a pyogenic granuloma.  The name is actually a misnomer.  The fleshy growth of tissue that can occur under and eyelid after this type of surgery is not pyogenic and it is not a granuloma.  This is easy managed with an excision typically done in an office setting.  Please follow up with your ophthalmology to have this taken care of.

This certainly can be the elevation of a chalazion granuloma under the eyelid, meaning an inflammatory collection of cells that looks fleshy. It is not an infection.
