I was born with nevus birthmark owith ingrown hair. I went to dermatologist to get removed . The birthmark is on my buttocks. I got 70 prrcebt removed left witg a big scar i gave a tatoo on my buttocks where the scar is And ingrown hair i was wondering what can i do now about the birthmark and scar. I wish i would have left the birthmark alone now the scar is noticeable now in trying to get the scar removed i did 2 sessions of dernalbrasion on the scar it always camr back i was thinking trying w switch laser or tattoo removal idk what to do . Is there anything i can do to remove the scar. 30 percrbt of birthnark is still left i wanted to do electroysis to remove the hair

Based on these photos you have good symmetry and providing that you can leave with scar as it is, you should let it be? However, complete scar removal would require staged surgeries with use of tissue expanders to expend upper and lower buttock skin to be able to close the defect after scar removal. Partial removal of most disturbing part of the scar is also an option. You should consult a very experienced board certified plastic surgeon with good reconstructive background. Good luck.

Giant Hairy Nevi or (Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevi, or GCMN) carry a significantly increased lifetime risk for melanoma. The risk varies with the size of the birthmark, but it’s estimated to be as high as 5%.
Because of that it is important to consider excision and also to consider careful monitoring of this on a regular basis by a specialist in melanoma detection.
Removal of the lesion might be possible using tissue expanders stretching out surrounding skin to cover the area after it’s removed.
Stretching out skin with tissue expanders is not an easy process.
It may be a worthy pursuit, but know that it’s pretty emotionally challenging to go through that process.
Directed excision with covering the defect with a split thickness skin graft may be possible, but I think most plastic surgeons would lean towards tissue expanders as a better choice.
There are no easy solutions.
First and foremost, you should get care from a plastic surgeon who has extensive knowledge with these type of birthmarks. You may want to consider academic medical centers in your area and search in advance to see if there’s anyone there who specializes in. Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevi. 
Treatments that manipulate the color and texture of the skin could potentially change the ability to detect an early melanoma which is critical in regards to risk prevention because advanced melanoma is often fatal.
I’m not trying to be alarmist or to scare you, but I do think it’s important you get seen by someone who is highly experienced in the natural course of this condition and doesn’t just treat you for aesthetic purposes, but it’s also monitoring you on a regular basis for the potential development of melanoma.
