What are your opinions on and did any of your patients have an issue getting Sculptra after Bellafill or Silikon?

I had one bellafill 5 years ago and tiny bit of silikon 1000 for couple scars 7 years ago. I saw a dermatologist about sculptra and she mentioned research has shown that patients who get sculptra after bellafill get granulomas. I have a lot of volume loss in my face and fillers for 4-5 cc can become costly. I would appreciate your opinions and whether Any of your patients had an issue getting sculptra after bellafill or silikon?

Granulomas tend to be from biofilm produced by bacterial contamination of the product at the time of injection. Free silicone injections can be silent or suddenly erupt with lumps and granulomas years later, without any provocation.

Sculptra is a very bad choice if it is being injected into the skin as it will invariably result in granuloma formation and other complications. You’re better off treating acne scarring with Sil 1000 as it is still a very good and safe product as long as a micro droplet approach is being used. As far as facial volume loss is concerned, there is absolutely no better way to restore facial volume than with your own fat. When fat grafting is being done by a plastic surgeon with decades worth of fat grafting experience, the result should be natural and permanent.
