I’m 46-years/old and quite slender.. I’ve been using botox, hyaluronic acid fillers, and threads, but am no longer getting the outcome I want. At this point, would I get better results from 3-4 vials of Sculptra or a Facelift?

Answer: Sculptra or facelift Dear cml555,First of all I’d want to find out what outcome you feel you’d like? Think of sculptra as a fertiliser for the skin, it tightens lax and crinkling skin very well. There are areas it can’t be used in, like forehead, eyes and lips. If you’d like more youthful structure in the face like lengthening of chin or creating a more refined jawline then it’s HA fillers/ radiesse (in my opinion). If you’d like more radiant skin with less smile lines but some degree of volumisation of the aforementioned areas then sculptra is helpful. If you’d like less squaring of the face had you considered a thread lift? This can create some repositioning of the jowling that appears but I often do threads in conjunction with fillers (Ha or sculptra)Facelifts are fast becoming a thing of the past as so much can be achieved with non surgical means. What you really need is an experienced doctor who can translate your concerns into practical solutions for you to give you the results you would like and who isn’t afraid to refer you elsewhere if surgery is the best option for you. I wish you all the best,Dr Maeve Kenningham

Answer: Facelift Hi there, You look great and keeping up on Botox and fillers has kept things looking great! But if you have the down time you are young enough to have excellent results with a lower neck and facelift with minimal scarring and you will enjoy the results for a very long time. Best of luck...
