I had SculpSure under my chin two weeks ago. It seemed slightly swollen for a week and now just looks and feels the same as before. I haven’t developed a lump or anything. How do you know if it’s working? Am I supposed to have some lumps following as the doctor had mentioned that, but I don’t have anything. Thank you!

Answer: SculpSure under chin Thank you for your question. SculpSure is great at treating pinchable fat, including the submental area aka the double chin. Swelling can be present for the first week or two with transient nodules. However, this is not always present and should not affect your result. Result can be seen after 6 weeks of your treatment but best 12 weeks after your second SculpSure session. All the best, Dr Michon

We counsel patients that tenderness and slight swelling can be present for 1-2 weeks post Sculpsure submental and that in some patients, transient nodularity can be present post treatment (more often seen in lower abdominal contouring). Patients begin to see slight reduction occurring around 6 weeks post initial treatment, but optimal results are present 3 months post the second treatment with greater reduction seen 1 year post.
