Hi, I'd really love to know why my under eye circles are so dark and how to treat them? I'm tired of looking tired! The dark circle is particularly bad under my left eye, ths side of my face also looks droopy (the right side does not!). You can see my cheek looks flat on my left, the fat looks like its accumulating around my mouth and my eye looks droopy and heavy with the dark circle underneath. What can I do to achieve a fresh, youthful look again? (I'm only 26!)
Answer: Dark Circles/Eye Bags/Wrinkles - Fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella); Lasers (Fraxel/CO2); Renuvion; Microneedling/PRP; Peels At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Nonsurgical HA Filler Upper Cheek Augmentation Can Improve Both Face Shape & Under Eyes Think of the upper cheek region as the foundation upon which the under eye region depends for its support. Just as a house without a proper foundation is not likely to stand, the under eyes without its upper cheek support is prone to the development of bags and tear troughs. The use of a robust HA filler properly placed in the appropriate location of the upper cheeks can not only recontour the cheeks to create a more feminine, heart-shaped oval face, but typically improves the tear troughs and bags, as well. By contrast, directly injecting filler for the under eyes without prior treatment of the upper cheek would be like wallpapering the rooms of a house that has no foundation. You would be wise to consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Flat Cheeks Hello, and thank you for your inquiry! For the cheek flatness, filler would be a good option. This will help give you more of a V-shaped appearance. Cheek filler can also help give a lift to the lower face as well. Another option for under eye treatment would be to do platelet rich plasma. PRP can help with the discoloration and help thicken the skin under your eyes. Multiple treatments of the PRP should be completed 4 weeks apart. There is significant swelling that is associated with the PRP for at least a few days. Good luck on your journey!

Answer: Good candidate for HA filler to treat tear troughs Hey! I think you would make a great candidate for tear trough and cheek filler. They're are several HA dermal filler products that can help restore the amount of volume beneath the eyes to erase the appearance of dark circles. You could also benefit from cheek filler which will provide lift and structure to the lower face that is causing you to feel as if the side of your face is droopy.

Answer: How to treat dark under eye & flat cheeks? We could place filler under the eyes to rid of the darkness and give a more refreshed and rejuvenated look to the under eye area. The filler will act as an internal concealer giving you a fresh more rested look. For the cheeks we would add filler as well to shape and sculpt the cheeks giving you more volume and contouring and enhancing your cheek bone to give a sharp and beautiful look!
