Why is Sculptra unsafe for keloid skin?

I developed (confirmed and diagnosed) Keloids after Otoplasty, large ones. I also have a smaller keloid on my chest either from acne or spontaneously. So far i have not developed any on my face from acne or even a bad gash on my brow bone, or on my arms from vaccinations. After looking into Sculptra I have seen it stated that it should not be used on Keloid prone skin, but I couldn't find any explanation as to why or what the risks would be. I have confirmed keloid skin and I would like to understand why it would be too much of a risk for me.

Sculptra itself would not be unsafe to a person with a history of keloids.  The process of injecting the Sculptra is what could potentially cause a keloid to form.  It is unusual to have keloids on the face though (not including the ears), so if you were going to have Sculptra injected into the face, this would be okay in my opinion.  Each physician will have their own opinion on this, so not all doctors may be comfortable treating you.
