PIH returns after pico laser treatment. What can I do to prevent this?

I had a pico laser treatment on some dark acne patches. I'm dark skinned. After treatment i was left with some redness which turned into scabs. The scabs eventually fall off revealing fresh pink skin. The pink skin then begins to become pigmented and returns to exactly the same shade as before. What can i do to prevent this?

PicoSure flat handpiece would be effective for these types of scarring/hyperpigmentation. A series of 3 treatments spaced one month apart is what I would suggest. In addition, wearing sunscreen and keeping the scars out of the sun would be beneficial to your treatment.
