I want larger breasts and to be fuller so would like a Breast Augmentation. I do not want a breast lift ideally and I really like the look of other breasts on before and after photos where the patient did not want scars and even with some moderate ptosis their result was much fuller larger breasts that sit more in a natural position rather than lifted and this is the look I would like. Can I get away with not doing a lift? All photos are of myself
Answer: Breast Augmentation & Lift Candidate Thanks for your question. From these pictures, you seem to be a good candidate for a breast augmentation and lift. I recommend scheduling a consult for a proper evaluation. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Do I need a breast lift? 3D imaging & simulation software may help you come to a decision alongside your surgeon. It is difficult to make that assessment based on photographs alone, but in patients with a breast shape similar to yours, I would ordinarily suggest that altering the skin envelope (with a combination of a nipple-areolar reduction and a lift) would be beneficial to the outcome. This will always be a trade off between what you are trying to achieve and scarring, but scarring from breast uplift procedures usually heal well and are not particularly noticeable once the scarring has matured at 12-18 months. If you did wish to avoid scars associated with a breast uplift procedure, but boost your volume, you may get a more natural outcome with fat transfer (rather than a breast implant), but this may require more than one session to achieve the volume that you are aiming for.

Answer: My Recomendation Dear BASFD, thanks for sharing your question and pictures, after evaluating your case you can avoid the lift and do Ultrasound Guided Breast Fat Transfer this will add volume to your breast and avoid the scars. Keeping in mind the your breast will still look a little bit fallen. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks! Dr. Luis Mejia.

Answer: Breast Lift Dear BASFD, based on your photos, it looks like you would need breast lift. My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.
