Should I increase or decrease collagen for scars caused by chemical peel?

Shuggie14
I have read that boosting collagen with collagen supplements may help remodel and heal newly formed scars. However I have read that silicone gel helps heal scars by reducing collagen. As these both seem opposed to each other in theory which is better for scarring caused by a chemical peel? How can I tell if I need more or less collagen to help with scar healing? I am grateful for any advice. Thanks.
