In 2018 had a platysma plication, did not address sagging skin. Would a full facelift make the area worse? (photos)

From the photos you have provided it appears that there is some excess skin under the chin and central neck. The bands may simply represent folds of the skin or be due to recurrence of the platysmal bands. I would advise that you are seen by a plastic surgeon for a comprehensive examination, to see if your issues can be addressed.

Looking at your photo it is likely you would need a secondary facelift to redrape the skin. You neeed an assessment at consultation since itis difficult to assess from a photograph the kind of surgery required. Did you have a facelift at the first surgery- if not then the platysmaplasty has not addressed the skin laxity below the jawline.

If you’re interested in reducing signs of aging below the chin and improving the neck skin’s elasticity, you may be a candidate for a neck lift.

By twisting your head, you are creating unnatural lines in the neck. We need to evaluate your neck in a head neutral position. Nevertheless, a facelift is the usual way to help this situation.

I suggest you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon if you are thinking of having surgery, because to achieve a harmonious result you have to take into account the over all face and not just one area or profile.
