I’m over a year post-op and looos like my doctor completely butchered my face. It is causing me Great Depression. The scar is dented and pale and very obvious. Had 2 scar camouflage sessions and it’s not doing the trick.
Answer: Recommend Plasma pixilation for this scar Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Subcision To Elevate & Smooth Indented Scar; Professional Mianual Microneedling + Rx Pigment Enhancers For Blending Sorry you are having this difficulty. Subcision can be used for elevating and smoothing the indented portions of the scar. Then professionally performed manual microneedling (no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling) accompanied by the application of presciption topical pigment enhancers, such as tyrosine and lanatoprost, to improve any residual superficial textural irregularity and treat the hypopigmentation. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.

Answer: Forehead reduction scar I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing distress and dissatisfaction with the outcome of your surgery. It's understandable to feel frustrated and upset in this situation. It's important to remember that all surgeries carry some level of risk, and sometimes unexpected outcomes can occur despite the best efforts of the surgeon. That being said, if you feel that your surgeon has not met your expectations or has made a mistake during your procedure, it may be worth discussing your concerns with them directly. You could consider scheduling a consultation with your surgeon to discuss your concerns and explore options for revision surgery or other corrective measures. Alternatively, you could seek a second opinion from another qualified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon to see if they have any recommendations. In addition to seeking medical advice, it's also important to prioritize your emotional well-being and seek support if you're struggling with feelings of depression or anxiety. You may want to consider speaking with a mental health professional or a support group for individuals who have undergone cosmetic surgery. Remember that you are not alone in this experience, and there are resources available to help you navigate this difficult time. Best of luck !
