Can I get a chemical peel on my body while on accutane for my face?

Accutane is contraindicated for 6 months prior to chemical peels. Actively burned or sun-damaged skin must be allowed to heal prior to using chemical peels. It may lead to hypertrophic scarring and keloid formation by delaying wound healing.

Hi and thank you for your question. We do not recommend getting any chemical peels done until you are off of Accutane for at least 6 months, regardless of the dose you are on. We also only recommend doing chemical peels in the fall or winter time. Hope this helps!
