Will CO2 correct my under eye bags and my brow wrinkles? (Photos)

A CO₂ laser will not address under-eye bags or hollowing. The appearance you’re describing is due to fat pseudoherniation of the eyelids, which requires a blepharoplasty to properly contour the area. Non-surgical treatments like lasers or polynucleotides may improve skin texture or fine lines but will not correct the underlying fat protrusion.

Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2.

CO2 laser resurfacing can significantly improve fine lines, crepey texture, and mild skin laxity under the eyes and around the brows, but it usually won’t fully correct true under-eye bags or deeper brow wrinkles on its own. The laser works by removing damaged surface layers of skin and stimulating collagen remodeling, which helps tighten and smooth the area, giving a fresher appearance. However, if your under-eye bags are caused by fat pad protrusion or structural changes rather than just loose skin, you may need a surgical lower blepharoplasty or a combination of CO2 laser with fillers or skin-tightening treatments for optimal results.

At least from the photos provided, there appears to be some flattening and volume deficit in the upper cheeks. Since the upper cheeks are a major support for the under-eyes, when this support is lost with the passage of time, the under-eyes suffer the development of under-eye bags and tear trough formation. Fortunately, the use of a robust HA volumizing filler properly injected in the cheeks can smooth the transition between the upper cheeks and the under-eyes, restore the volume, and thereby diminish the tear troughs and the bags.
In more persistent cases, however, I have had gratifying results in reducing the bags by first numbing each bag with a local anesthetic and then inserting an ultra fine needle and delivering a very low intensity epilating electric current at various points under the bag in order to shrink it from inside and promote new collagen synthesis--the result of which is shrinkage of the bags over the next couple of weeks following treatment.
