QWO is a non invasive injectable that treats mild to moderate cellulite. The procedure itself is very tolerable with minimal pain. The most common side effects after the procedure are swelling, bruising, pain, and redness.
QWO is injected into the fat (subcutaneously) of each single buttock (treatment area). You may receive up to 12 injections per treatment area. In clinical trials 48% of subjects reported pain at injection site or slight discomfort.
Qwo injections are typically comfortable for the patient with minimal pain. The bruising after the injection can be significant but is painless.

Thanks for your question! My practice has recently begun to offer Qwo. We were one of the first practices in our area to have the product. In my (limited) experience thus far with the product, the procedure is very tolerable. The patients will often feel the pinch of the needle. Patients have told me that if I squeeze their skin in the area of injection, the discomfort is less. Numbing cream can be used if needed. Every patient perceives pain differently and has a different pain threshold. Some patients may be tender in the areas of treatment after the procedure.
Most people tolerate Qwo injections fine. We use a 30-gauge needle to inject Qwo—this is the same size as most Botox needles. Typically the buttock is not as sensitive as the face, so if you've had Botox before then you'll be fine with tolerating Qwo injections. If you are the type of person that is very sensitive, then a topical anesthetic cream could be used to lessen the pain of the injections. There is some discomfort typically reported two to three days after the injections as the enzymes begin working. There can also be bruising, but this is all very mild and usually well tolerated by patients.
Not at all! Qwo injections are completely painless and very safe for the body. you’ll be able to go on with your day right after a treatment without any pain sitting or moving.
