The manufacturer does not recommend QWO to be used on breastfeeding women because they did not use in the clinical trials so they can't know for sure that it is safe. It may be safe, but we have no way of knowing so until it has been studied in breastfeeding women we must recommend against using Qwo. Wishing you the best of health, Dr Wright
As an Ob/Gyn physician, I would advised that you do not start QWO injections while you are breastfeeding. As a QWO provider, I don't believe the company has done enough studies (especially in BF individuals) to ensure there is no passage into the breast milk and/or or harmful effects to the baby. I I would not recommend that any injectable (eg QWO, toxin, filler) be started while still BF, as no company will ensure the absolute safety of its product(s) in a breastfeeding individual. Any injectable can induce a reaction in the body, and how the body responds to that "foreign body/substance" is going to be different for each person, and thus possibly affecting the breastmilk and/or passing through the breastmilk. I would wait until your BF is done to start any injectable, especially QWO.
