Question

My wish at the end was to be smaller than my original breast size. I was a 32 DD/DDD. I understand that PS go by cc and not cup size and that is fine. My issue is I feel he put too wide implants in. My breasts had been expanded to 450cc (which I told him EXPLICTLY was too big). My implants are Inspria SCF-560 and they feel awful. I know I am early in this process but I am not happy. Why would he have jumped from 450 to 560 when I wanted smaller? Pic is 3 weeks post op.

I agree, they are too large and laterally displaced.  Given the fact that you expressed those concerns preoperatively, I would seek the opinion of another BS PS to give you some options.  Your issue isnt as easy as just down sizing.  Redoing the pocket is needed as well.

Good Afternoon, thank you for sharing your experience and picture. Communication between patient and surgeon is crucial to avoid these situations. We usually do expansions until we accomplish the size that the patient is happy with and then we choose the implants accordingly.

I think that there was a communication error between you and your surgeon.  I always ask my patients that at what point when I am filling do they like the volume.  I usually go with that volume.

Sorry for the problems related to your breast reconstruction.   Would express your concerns to your plastic surgeon.  Smaller implants could be placed which would allow you to be closer to your previous bra size.

Those are to wide for your frame.  I am sorry that you have had this experience.  This can be extremely frustrating.  It sounds like you were doing you best to communicate.  I would revisit this with your surgeon.  If that doesn't work then seek a second opinion.
