Dear ChanelM81,Thank you for your question. Time, sun protection and avoidance are key for good laser results. Make sure you have a good mineral based sun sunscreen SPF50+ and a good broad billed hat. Silicone based products can also help, to a lesser extent. There is a product I use called Biocorneum that is a mixture of silicone gel and sunscreen. My patients are generally very happy with this product. Before lasering a mole, make sure your doctor is comfortable evaluating the mole medically. You never want to laser a potentially precancerous mole. Good luck,Nirmal R.
